HBOT4Heroes Awarded $50,000 Grant from Cameron Charitable Trust, Administered by Wells Fargo Philanthropic Services

Durham, NC — January 8, 2026 — HBOT4Heroes, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to stopping veteran suicide and restoring lives through Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT), is honored to announce it has been awarded a $50,000 grant from the Cameron Charitable Trust, administered by Wells Fargo Philanthropic Services.

This funding will support access to a full course of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy care for at least six local veterans currently on HBOT4Heroes’ waitlist, helping them begin treatment for traumatic brain injury (TBI) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), conditions that often remain invisible yet life-altering.

“Access to care is often the greatest barrier veterans face,” said Edward di Girolamo, Chairman of HBOT4Heroes. “This grant allows us to help veterans currently on our waitlist begin treatment, providing real hope and a path forward. We are deeply grateful to the Cameron Charitable Trust and Wells Fargo Philanthropic Services for investing in second chances for those who have served.”

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy has shown promise in supporting brain health by increasing oxygen delivery to injured tissue and improving blood flow, which supports the brain’s natural repair processes. For many veterans, HBOT represents an opportunity to reclaim quality of life after years of unresolved symptoms.

HBOT4Heroes remains committed to responsible stewardship and its mission to ensure no veteran is left waiting for access to potentially life-changing care.
