Chris Rabassi, a retired Marine Corps Major, served 26 years, including deployments during the initial invasion of Iraq in 2003 and later to Ramadi in 2005. His service exposed him to the intense stress of combat operations and the pressures of military life, contributing to his diagnosis of PTSD. After retiring in 2016, Chris faced challenges including declining physical health, joint pain, alcohol dependence, and disrupted sleep.
